Football Recap: Coral Gables Piles Up the Points Against Southwest

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Coral Gables walked away with it. They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 27-0 victory over the Southwest Eagles. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cavaliers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Coral Gables didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Valentina Tomas-Dolan and Mariana Iglesias. Tomas-Dolan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Coral Gables' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Southwest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Coral Gables has already played their next game, a 12-6 loss against Ferguson on the 14th. Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
