Basketball Recap: North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Phoenix Day School for the Deaf last Friday, North Phoenix Preparatory Academy came back down to earth. The North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators were beaten by the Tempe Prep Knights 63-35 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Knights are ranked 140th).

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Tempe Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Phoenix Day School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tempe Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Arizona Lutheran Academy at 7:00 p.m.
