Legacy Academy hadn't done well against Menaul recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Legacy Academy Silverbacks made off with a 56-55 victory over the Menaul Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Silverbacks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Legacy Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryant Scales, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Scales' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dallas Baca, who posted 13 points along with six steals and five assists.

Legacy Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Menaul lost, don't look at Kazimieras Giedraitis. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 16 en route to 24 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Giedraitis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Brayden Chavez was another key player, going 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points.

Legacy Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Menaul, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Legacy Academy has already played their next match, a 58-52 win against Oak Grove Classical Academy on the 6th. Menaul has also already played their next game (against Jemez Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
