Emerald Ridge had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-3 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 21-12 win over the Rogers Rams. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Jaguars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Rams are ranked 116th).

Emerald Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Joel Gonzalez picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

As for Rogers, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3. Despite 123 more yards than Emerald Ridge, the Rams couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the defeat, Rogers saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Titus Koch rushed for 107 yards and one score.
