Volleyball Game Preview: Humble Wildcats vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

Humble hasn't had much luck against Summer Creek recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will square off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

Humble had taken King down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Panthers since October 26, 2021.

While Humble was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Summer Creek earned a 3-1 victory over Goose Creek Memorial on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Summer Creek had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-22, 25-10, 25-17.

Humble's loss dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Summer Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 17-14.

Humble might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Summer Creek in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
