Soccer Game Preview: Kimberly vs. Wendell

The Kimberly Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Wendell Trojans at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Kimberly knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Wendell likes a good challenge.

Kimberly's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Filer. Kimberly's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

They hit Filer with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hannah Fisher (2), Cassidy Johnson (2), and Britney Pettingill.

Meanwhile, Wendell came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Bears as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Kimberly's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Wendell, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-2.

Kimberly beat Wendell 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
