Baseball Recap: Hamilton County Trojans vs. Eastside Rams
Hamilton County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eastside Rams a 15-0 shutout. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 15-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Braxton Stormant and Reily Hearn were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Stormant tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hearn pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Stormant also racked up five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. At bat, Stormant scored a run and stole one base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Hearn scored a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Sebastian Tordsen was excellent, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Wyatt Stirn was another key player, scoring two runs.
Hamilton County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastside only posted an OBP of .158.
Eastside's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton County will take on Aucilla Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastside, they will face off against Oak Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
