Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Vikings vs. Bloomington Central Catholic Saints

The Tri-Valley Vikings will square off against the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Tri-Valley sitting on three straight victories and Bloomington Central Catholic on 11.

Tri-Valley will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Normal University, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Tri-Valley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 win over Normal University on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bloomington Central Catholic walked away with it. They strolled past the Titans with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 62-44.

Tri-Valley pushed their record up to 25-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 22-11.

Tri-Valley came up short against Bloomington Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 44-37. Can Tri-Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
