Volleyball Recap: Elsinore Comes Up Short at Home Against Corona

Elsinore unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Corona Panthers on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

Elsinore started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-7.

The win (which was Corona's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elsinore will venture away from home to square off against Santa Rosa Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Corona, they will take on Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
