Hendersonville won the last time they faced Polk County and things went their way  on Friday too. The Bearcats took down the Wolverines 37-21. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bearcats' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Wolverines are ranked 323rd).
 JaRon Ward was  his usual excellent self, throwing for 221 yards and three  touchdowns. Hendersonville also got a significant boost from  Jordan Buford, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
