Volleyball Recap: Stamford's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Stamford came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Masuk Panthers, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Black Knights were not able to get on the board.

Stamford was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Stamford still got an impressive performance from Ethan Taylor, who had 20 assists. Taylor has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last six times he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stamford fell to 4-1. As for Masuk, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Stamford will host Ludlowe at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Masuk, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Brookfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
