Basketball Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy lost against Wesleyan back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wesleyan Wolves. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Wolves are ranked 404th).

Wesleyan can attribute much of their success to Connor Morehouse, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Nketia-Gyasi, who posted eight points and three blocks.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Wesleyan, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Mount Pisgah Christian the next time they take the court. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will host Mount Pisgah Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Wesleyan will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
