Baseball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Colfax hit Liberty with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lancers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Lancers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Colfax, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Colfax, they will venture away from home to take on Asotin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
