Northfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Monarch Coyotes to the tune of 73-37 on Tuesday. The Nighthawks haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Leading Northfield to victory were Paris Taylor and Delaney Dennis. Taylor almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards, while Dennis went 6-for-13 en route to 23 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of London Taylor, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points and six steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northfield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mountain Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monarch, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Arvada West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
