Softball Recap: Center Moriches Comes Up Short

The Center Moriches Red Devils lost 14-2 to the Patchogue-Medford Raiders on Thursday.

Center Moriches saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Cerillo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Center Moriches now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Patchogue-Medford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Center Moriches will be playing at home against Bayport-Blue Point at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Phantoms' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Patchogue-Medford, they will face off against William Floyd at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
