Volleyball Recap: West Carroll Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warren Warriors. The Thunder were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, West Carroll sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-22, 13-25, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Avery Mangler and Courtney Knop, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Audri Wilcox and her 17 assists. Finally, Mangler was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Warren, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 3-15 record.

West Carroll didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against East Dubuque on the 25th. As for Warren, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Scales Mound on the 25th.
