Mount Carmel got themselves on the board against Shamokin Area on Thursday, but Shamokin Area never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Indians. The victory continues a trend for the RED TORNADOES in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

Walker McGinley looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Mount Carmel's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Clarke Cartright, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Mount Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Shamokin Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
