Basketball Recap: Jellico Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Jellico needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Trey Vann. The Jellico Blue Devils breezed by the Oakdale Eagles to the tune of 79-28 on Tuesday thanks in part to Vann, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points and six steals. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Jellico's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Oakdale, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jellico will head out to square off against Wartburg Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakdale, they will venture away from home to challenge Harriman at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
