On Monday, Longmeadow earned a 3-1 victory over Medfield.
The win didn't come easy: Medfield scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 24-26, 25-20.

Longmeadow's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Bousquet, who had 37 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Bousquet has posted over his last six matchups.
Meanwhile, Westfield made easy work of Pioneer Valley Christian on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
While Westfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-10, 25-11.
Westfield's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. As for Longmeadow, their record now sits at 17-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's game: Longmeadow has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Westfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Longmeadow came up short against Westfield when the teams last played back in April, falling 3-1. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
