Baseball Recap: Lebanon Gets the Win

Lebanon came out on top against Prestonsburg on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Pioneers walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Blackcats. That's two games straight that the Pioneers have won by exactly three runs.

The win made it two in a row for Lebanon and bumps their season record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Prestonsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lebanon and Prestonsburg will both be playing Frederick Douglass the next time they take the field. The Pioneers will head out to face the Broncos at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Blackcats will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
