Basketball Recap: Dominion Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dominion Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Valwood Valiants by a score of 54-51 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Knights have suffered since December 6, 2024.

Defeat or not, Dominion Christian got some senior leadership from Drew Walker and Bennett Schneider. Walker posted 14 points, while Schneider had eight points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Schneider has posted since back in December of 2024. Kaden Cooke was another key player, putting up six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Dominion Christian and nudges their season record down to 15-10. As for Valwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Dominion Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valwood, they will take on Brookwood at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brookwood will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Valwood surely won't give up without a fight.
