Baseball Recap: Shrewsbury Gets the Win

Shrewsbury proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the St. Paul Knights 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colonials have posted since April 11th.

Shrewsbury's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Paul, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shrewsbury will welcome Waltham at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Paul, they will be playing at home against Wachusett Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
