Football Recap: Selma Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Selma had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 51-24 loss at the hands of the Fairfield Tigers. The Saints were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

As for Fairfield, their win bumped their record up to 2-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Justin Murray had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 261 yards and five TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 10 rushing touchdowns on the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Combs, who rushed for 27 yards and one touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Selma will challenge Montevallo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fairfield, they will square off against Holt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
