Volleyball Recap: Mahopac Indians vs. Poughkeepsie Pioneers        
        
		
             Mahopac won the last time they faced Poughkeepsie, and things went their way  on Monday too. The Mahopac Indians were the clear victor by  a  3-0 margin over the Poughkeepsie Pioneers. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Indians.
 Mahopac walked away with the   win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19,  25-15.
  Bella DeChico continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  getting five  digs, four  aces,  and two  kills. She is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 15 or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season.  Olivia Hoyt was another key player,  getting five  aces and three  kills.
 She wasn't the only good server: Mahopac  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 25  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
 Mahopac has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. As for Poughkeepsie, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the  loss, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Coincidentally,  both  will both be playing John Jay the next time they take the court. Mahopac will  host John Jay at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Poughkeepsie will  host them  at 4:30  p.m.  on October 16th.
