Sterlington was the 4-0 winner over West Monroe when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Sterlington Panthers came up short against the West Monroe Rebels on Friday, falling 8-1. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sterlington's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for West Monroe, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sterlington and Evangel Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. West Monroe will take on Alexandria in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexandria's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
