Baseball Game Preview: Tyner Academy Rams vs. Austin-East Roadrunners

The Tyner Academy Rams will square off against the Austin-East Roadrunners at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Tyner Academy and 23 for Austin-East dating back to last season.

Tyner Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Berean Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 10-8.

Ryleigh Chubb was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing five bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. D'Terrius Dupree was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Austin-East came up short against Pigeon Forge on Tuesday, falling 18-1.

Tyner Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Austin-East, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Everything went Tyner Academy's way against Austin-East in their previous matchup back in March, as Tyner Academy made off with a 15-2 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Roadrunners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
