Basketball Recap: High School of the Future Takes a Loss

High School of the Future came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers by a score of 54-52 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat High School of the Future has suffered since December 28, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Philadelphia Academy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Benzenahfer, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. Those 17 rebounds gave Benzenahfer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tahj Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.

High School of the Future is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
