Volleyball Recap: Bucyrus Takes a Loss

Bucyrus lost against Crestview back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Redmen lost 3-0 to the Cougars.

Bucyrus was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-19.

Tori Stang paced Bucyrus' offense, picking up eight kills. Stang got some help from Brooklyn Ryland and her ten assists.

Lena Kahl was a one-woman wrecking crew For Crestview. as she had 13 digs, five blocks, and five aces. Another player making a difference was Sophie Shifflet, who had three digs and two aces.

Bucyrus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Crestview, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Bucyrus is taking a road trip to challenge Crestline at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crestview, they will be playing at home against Monroeville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
