Softball Recap: St. Bernard Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for St. Bernard's offense. They came up short against the Nonnewaug Chiefs on Wednesday, falling 12-0. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

St. Bernard's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Nonnewaug, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, St. Bernard will be playing at home against Woodstock Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Centaurs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.91 runs per game on average), something the Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Nonnewaug, they will challenge Housatonic at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
