Basketball Game Preview: Culver Academies Eagles vs. Bremen Lions

Culver Academies is on a 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Bremen is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Culver Academies Eagles will welcome the Bremen Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Culver Academies is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Carroll: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Culver Academies' way against Carroll on Saturday as Culver Academies made off with a 55-35 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Culver Academies to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reid Seddelmeyer, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points along with six assists and five boards. That's the most points Seddelmeyer has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Herron, who posted eight points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Bremen humbled Knox with a 71-30 victory. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Redskins are ranked 302nd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bremen's win came from a few key players Culver Academies will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kila Foster, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 23 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliana Grubbs, who went 9 of 15 on her way to 22 points.

Seddelmeyer wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bremen was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Culver Academies' win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bremen, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
