Basketball Game Preview: Kenwood Knights vs. Dickson County Cougars

Kenwood hasn't had much luck against Dickson County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Kenwood Knights will challenge the Dickson County Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Dickson County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kenwood, who comes in off a win.

Kenwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took down West Creek 52-34. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Coyote: they've now won three in a row.

Kenwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sy'Nya Seay out in front who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yazmine Pearson, who put up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Dickson County ended up a good deal behind Henry County on Monday and lost 71-57.

Kenwood will need to focus on slowing down Jenna Saine, one of several Dickson County players who made an impact when they last played. She earned 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Keely Webb, who had 16 points and five assists.

Kenwood's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Dickson County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-12.

Kenwood came up short against Dickson County in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 50-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Webb, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 20 points and three steals.
