Gallia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Athens, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

The two teams are at an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015. As for Athens, they will challenge Marietta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Athens will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
