The Rangely Panthers will face off against the Cedaredge Bruins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Rangely is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-8 margin over Moffat County on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.
Hunter Fouch made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rangely is 3-1 when Fouch allows one or fewer hits, but 1-10 otherwise. Fouch was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Bradley Lambros was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Bollinger, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Rangely always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Cedaredge entered their tilt with Dolores on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Bears get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Give the Bruins' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Logan Sanders made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Sanders was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Cedaredge let Carson Rupp and Rylan Brooks run wild. Rupp went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Brooks went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Trenton Ryan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Rangely's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Cedaredge, their win bumped their record up to 19-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rangely has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cedaredge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rangely suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Cedaredge when the teams last played back in April. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
