Softball Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Takes a Loss

Lugoff-Elgin suffered their closest defeat since April 17, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Camden Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The Demons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lugoff-Elgin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Lugoff-Elgin's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Camden, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Coming up, Lugoff-Elgin will take on Blythewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blythewood will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Lugoff-Elgin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Camden, they will face off against South Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Camden is facing South Pointe at the right time seeing as South Pointe is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
