Football Game Preview: Nogales Nobles vs. Sierra Vista Dons

The Nogales Nobles are taking a road trip to square off against the Sierra Vista Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nogales will be strutting in after a win while Sierra Vista will be coming in after a defeat.

Nogales will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up six points back in September, then bounced right back against Azusa on Friday. The Nobles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Aztecs 53-3. The game marked the Nobles' most dominant victory of the season.

Nogales found their leader in sophomore Isaac Guzman, who picked up 104 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 104 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Guzman.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 49-31 bruising from Ontario. The Dons were down 35-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Sierra Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Nogales, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Nogales strolled past Sierra Vista in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Nobles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
