The Arcadia Apaches will face off against the Garfield Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Arcadia, who comes in off a win.
Arcadia proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Kaiser 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Apaches have posted since March 26, 2024.

Samantha Almaraz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyton Fox, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Nia White, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Garfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-5 to Banning.
Madilyn Mu?oz and Rosalie Aguilera did some serious damage despite the final result: Mu?oz went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Aguilera went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Aguilera launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Villalpando, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Even though they lost, Garfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Arcadia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Arcadia took their victory against Garfield in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1. Does Arcadia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Garfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
