Basketball Recap: St. Michael Comes Up Short

St. Michael was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-30 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers.

Lake Charles College Prep was led to victory by Javon Vital and Evan Burns. Vital posted 11 points, while Burns had 12 points.

St. Michael's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Lake Charles College Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

St. Michael didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-40 defeat against New Iberia on the 10th. As for Lake Charles College Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 39-29 win against St. Louis Catholic on the 10th.
