Blaine has gone 7-2 against Squalicum recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Blaine will look to defend their home field against Squalicum at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Blaine came up short against Oak Harbor on Thursday, falling 14-3. The Borderites have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Courtney Roff was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Squalicum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-6 to Lynden.

Addy Hauber made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Carmen Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Blaine's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Squalicum, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Blaine hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Squalicum struggles in that department as they've averaged .354. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Blaine took their win against Squalicum when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 23-3. Does Blaine have another victory up their sleeve, or will Squalicum turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
