Basketball Recap: Glen Rose's Losing Streak Snapped at 19 Games

Glen Rose had to endure a 19-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 51-50 win over the Two Rivers Gators.

Glen Rose's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Two Rivers, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Rose will venture away from home to challenge Hazen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Two Rivers will take on Mena in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mena knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Two Rivers likes a good challenge.
