Football Recap: Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Skates Past Scotia-Glenville with Ease

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 55-7 win over the Scotia-Glenville Tartans. With the Ravens ahead 27-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Johnny Jones was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Lee Kittle was another key back, rushing for 134 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 389 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Tylor Haslam, Kellen Houghtaling, and Kittle picked up one apiece. Haslam got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Scotia-Glenville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
