After a string of eight wins, Pioneer's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Goliad Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Goliad, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Pioneer will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Goliad, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Stockdale on the 23rd.
