Basketball Recap: LeRoy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact LeRoy can now relate to. They fell to the Flanagan/Woodland Falcons 48-42. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 53-32.

Ella Derossett continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Flanagan/Woodland, going 8-for-20 on her way to 18 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Derossett has scored at least a third of Flanagan/Woodland's points. Emma Palaschak was another key player, putting up nine points.

LeRoy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Flanagan/Woodland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-20.

LeRoy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flanagan/Woodland, they will challenge Heyworth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
