Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seminole). They blew past the Pecos Eagles 15-1 on Friday. Considering the Indians have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Michael Ray was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Rowin Donaldson and Obed Reyes did most of the damage at the plate: Donaldson scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4, while Reyes scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Donaldson has posted since back in February. Oscar Grijalva was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
