Basketball Game Preview: Stansbury Stallions vs. Uintah Utes

Stansbury is 1-9 against Uintah since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Stansbury Stallions will take on the Uintah Utes at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Stansbury lost to Jordan at home by a 50-36 margin.

Despite the loss, Stansbury had strong showings from Halley McGee, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 18 points, and Addi Hansen, who posted eight points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Hansen a new career-high in assists (three).

Meanwhile, Uintah came up short against Payson on Friday, falling 54-29. The Utes have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Stansbury's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Uintah, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Stansbury skirted past Uintah 44-42 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Stansbury repeat their success, or does Uintah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
