The biggest upset of the week belonged to Huss, who took down 62nd ranked Forestview, 24-20.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A/2A Conference 3 this week, South Point beat North Gaston 48-10. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Red Raiders.
Lake Norman Charter's dynamic duo of Michael Dorsainvil and Petey Fabian proved to be unstoppable against Ashbrook, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dorsainvil threw for 100 yards and Fabian had 46 yards receiving. Kurt Wronsky helped Lake Norman Charter's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 21 yards.
Jaquan Brooks provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South Point defeated the Wildcats. He completed 3 passes for 74 yards and also ran for 183 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Jaguars' Logan Bradley and Mykelti Armstrong have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Bradley has thrown for 2,343 yards this season, while Armstrong has 68 catches for 861 yards. Tyler Bray from Mickey Lineberger's team leads the league in rushing with 1,403 yards.
In 75 carries Diontrea King has put up 903 yards this year.
The Huskies are currently in sixth, while the Green Wave are in second.
Lake Norman Charter lost to Ashbrook 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dorsainvil ran for 13 yards in the defeat.
