Basketball Recap: Central Gwinnett Comes Up Short

Central Gwinnett was the 78-72 winner over Collins Hill when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Gwinnett Black Knights took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Collins Hill Eagles. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Central Gwinnett still got an impressive performance from Denovian Flowers, who went 8 of 16 to rack up 21 points. The dominant performance gave Flowers a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Hall, who posted 14 points and five boards.

Central Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Collins Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.

Central Gwinnett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-55 loss against Dacula on the 31st. As for Collins Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-58 victory against Mill Creek on the 4th.
