Baseball Game Preview: Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats vs. Yorktown Wildcats

Skidmore-Tynan is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Yorktown a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats will look to defend their home field against the Yorktown Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Skidmore-Tynan has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Skidmore-Tynan lost 12-1 to Port Aransas last Friday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Yorktown challenged Kenedy on Thursday. The Wildcats fell 8-4 to the Lions.

Yorktown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Guzman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Ezekiel Munoz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Yorktown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Skidmore-Tynan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything went Skidmore-Tynan's way against Yorktown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Skidmore-Tynan made off with a 14-1 victory. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
