Baseball Recap: Norwin Comes Up Short

If Norwin was feeling good fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Upper St. Clair last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hempfield Area Spartans on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 10-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Norwin's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hempfield Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Norwin beat Hempfield Area by a score of 12-2 on Tuesday.
