Basketball Recap: Saint Thomas More Academy Skates Past Clinton Christian with Ease

Saint Thomas More Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 84-30 victory over the Clinton Christian Couriers. With the Griffins ahead 49-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Noah Kloska went supernova, shooting 65% from the field to rack up 26 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Kloska, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 17 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Saint Thomas More Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clinton Christian only posted seven.

Despite the loss, Clinton Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Edmund Hull posted eight points and eight rebounds. Hull also posted an assist, marking his first of the season.

Saint Thomas More Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Clinton Christian, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Saint Thomas More Academy has already played their next matchup, a 72-33 win against Hammond Academy of Science & Tech on the 12th. As for Clinton Christian, they will take on Smith Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
