South Plaquemines posted their closest win since March 10th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the West St. John Rams 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Rams back in February, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

South Plaquemines saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javonta Gomez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

The victory got South Plaquemines back to even at 9-9. As for West St. John, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Plaquemines will head out to challenge Booker T. Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for West St. John, they will challenge Maurepas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
